Adding toning effect in photos

If you want to turn a colour photo into artistically toned photo then follow this example.

Adding borders in PhotoShop by extending the canvas size

This is my preferred way of adding a nice (black & white) border to any photo:

1. Increase the canvas size by 40 pixels (i.e. 20 pixels on all around) and paint it white.
2. Increase the canvas by 100 pixels (50 pixels all around) and paint it black.
